Deputy General Manager /Operations Manager – France

An exciting new role had opened up for a deputy general manager/operations manager for a resort in Cannes in South eastern France. The ideal candidate will need to be extremely strong on food and beverage and operations and have previous experience in running a large resort with multiply food and beverage outlets. The operation is twelve months a year, the resort has leisure and conference business. The role is very hands on and the candidate needs to be fluent in French.

Candidate Requirements:

  • To manage a team of Head of Departments to deliver the strategy, providing support, feedback and development for the team to develop their skills to be the best they can be.
  • To ensure that exceptional service is provided to all customers from all departments, every hour of every day and take personal responsibility for providing feedback and support to the team.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the day to day hotel and all outlet operation, working alongside Revenue, Sales and HR to balance all priorities.
  • Have strong control of the Profit & Loss, managing costs and identifying opportunities for growth in revenue.
  • Manage the productivity of the team to ensure best use of resource and delivery of our service standards.
  • Managing budgets, forecasts and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure.
  • Driving sales and profit targets.

  • Have full knowledge of resort facilities and capabilities.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience at similar role from 4 star hotels.
  • Have the desire and ability to become a General Manager.
  • Experienced background in in the Irish Market for three to five years an advantage.
  • Have good commercial knowledge and solid experience of Hotel operations including Front of House, Food & Beverage, Banqueting, Meetings, Events and Accommodation.
  • Be solution focused with high drive and a positive attitude.
  • Have excellent communication skills as dealing with large volume of staff.
  • Background in Food and Beverage and Conference and banqueting an advantage.
  • Responsible for ensuring all standard operation procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Strong Financial skills and acumen required for this role.
  • Excellent salary and package depending on experience.
  • Need to be fluent in French
