Accounts Assistant

Our client based in Carlow is currently looking to recruit an accounts assistant for a 9 month contract to join their team. This role would suit someone with previous accounts experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of sales and purchases invoices
  • Bank lodgements
  • Monthly reconciling of and payments to suppliers
  • Processing petty cash entries
  • Processing wages & salaries
  • Stock Control
  • Daily Sales
  • Monthly Accruals
  • Maintain & control Debtor balances
  • Maintain & control Creditor balances
  • Assisting in month end accounts preparation and year-end audit
  • General administration duties
  • Other ad hoc tasks


  • 3-5 years pervious accounts assistant experience
  • ACCA qualified or working towards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills, strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft tools, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task and work to own initiative

Salary: DOE

Location: Carlow
