You will be required to assume responsibility for all kitchen and catering operations, including ordering and effective rostering of kitchen staff and the management and supervision of the catering service in accordance with current legislation, policies and procedures.

Requirments:

  • Keep strict HACCP records
  • Planning and costing of menus
  • Ensure food is prepared and cooked in accordance with current food hygiene regulations and guideline
  • Ensure all equipment is operated, maintained and serviced as per manufacturer’s instructions and Health and Safety requirements/recommendations
  • Maintain adequate records for purchasing and stock control
  • Provide a high standard of catering to meet the needs of residents and staff
  • The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience running a kitchen in a healthcare environment
  • Up to date HACCP qualifications are essential
  • At least two working references (no mobile numbers)
  • People person
  • Excellent patient care approach
  • Presentable and possess strong leadership qualities
  • Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland without restrictions
  • Excellent English both written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of all dietary requirements is essential
  • Day to day running of a healthcare unit
  • Ability to work on own initiative is paramount
  • Confident in all aspects of running the kitchen. Stock takes, orders, invoices, and costings.
  • Excellent organisational skills required
  • Ability to lead a team is a crucial
  • Taking direction from management in relation to all daily duties
