Transport Planner

Location: Dublin North
Shift: Day shift – Monday to Friday
Salary: Depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our logistic client based in Dublin North.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring that deliveries are completed efficiently, on time, and in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule transport routes to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Allocate loads and assign vehicles based on capacity and geographic location.
• Monitor driver availability and ensure full utilisation of the fleet.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse, and logistics teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Liaise with customers regarding deliveries and collections, providing updates and resolving issues quickly.
• Analyse transport data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate transport records using internal systems (TMS).
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and transport regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar transport planning or logistics coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of Irish transport routes and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport management systems (TMS).
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience with systems such as Azyra or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ADR regulations and vehicle load factors.
