Senior Site Engineer – RC Frame Full Time NEW

Our client is a leading construction RC frame contractor. The Senior Engineer will play a key role in the technical delivery of reinforced concrete frame projects, providing leadership on site overseeing setting out, managing junior engineers, ensuring quality compliance, and supporting the Project Manager in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering activities on RC frame projects
• Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Ensure accurate setting out and provide guidance to site engineers
• Resolve technical queries and liaise with design teams
• Ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, and design intent
• Oversee and verify setting out for all structural elements (foundations, columns, walls, slabs, cores)
• Implement and manage QA procedures and inspection regimes
• Maintain accurate as-built records and QA documentation
• Identify and manage non-conformances and corrective actions
• Work closely with the Project Manager to support programme delivery
• Coordinate RC sequencing (formwork, reinforcement, concrete pours)
• Liaise with subcontractors and other trades to ensure smooth workflow
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with health & safety regulations
• Promote a strong safety culture on site
• Manage and mentor Setting Out Engineers and Junior Engineers
• Provide technical guidance and training to site teams

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Six years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to effectively manage site programmes to required deadlines
• Excellent record keeping skills coupled with the ability to effectively deal with design issues
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/Powerproject
