Health & Safety Officer Full Time NEW

My client, based in the Dublin area, is hiring a Health & Safety Officer to help drive support the organisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing high standards of environmental, health, safety, and quality (HSEQ) performance, working closely with teams across multiple sites to ensure best practices are met and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities include:

• Health & Safety Officer to Oversee HSEQ across all sites
• Health & Safety Officer to organise health and safety training; maintain training matrix
• Health & Safety Officer to Investigate and report accidents/incidents/near misses
• Health & Safety Officer to Train employees in EHS procedures
• Health & Safety Officer to Develop monthly safety alerts/toolbox talks
• Health & Safety Officer to Arrange PPE for high-risk tasks
• Health & Safety Officer to Ensure compliance through audits and documentation
• Health & Safety Officer to Implement zero harm reporting and manage data
• Health & Safety Officer to Create SOPs and work with Client EHS teams
• Health & Safety Officer to Perform site audit inspections
• Health & Safety Officer to Assist in risk assessments and method statements
• Health & Safety Officer to Support waste management in line with regulations and vendors
• Health & Safety Officer to Analyse monthly EHS statistics for board reports
• Health & Safety Officer to Liaise with regulators (HSA, EPA, local councils)
• Health & Safety Officer to Promote accountability and collaboration in safety and environment
• Health & Safety Officer to Manage budgets and seek cost efficiencies

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Possession of a degree or higher diploma in Health and Safety
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Holder of a full, clean driving licence with access to own vehicle
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
• Experience conducting audits within HSEQ management systems
