An exciting new role has opened up for a head chef for a brand new gastro restaurant/pub operation that will be opening in winter 2016 in Dublin West. The candidate must be highly organised with an eye for detail. The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall running of the kitchen and menu design. This is a lovely role for an organised and reliable experienced Head Chef to lead and grow an operation with fantastic flair for really good food.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Looking for a Head Chef to run a busy kitchen, to lead and direct a team in the kitchen in a brand new operation.
  • To be involved in menu planning and setting up the kitchen brigade prior to opening.
  • Excellent team leader skills.
  • Able to grow and bring a team together to produce an excellent standard of food throughout this busy property.
  • Strong creativity and innovation required when implementing new menu concepts.
  • Strong people management skills a must.
  • Excellent attention to detail required when carrying out your role.
  • Excellent standard of food to be produced.
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Responsible for costings and managing menu concepts, wages and achieving gp’s.
  • Reporting to General Manager.
  • Able to bring latest food trends to this property.
  • Managing the smooth day to day running of this beautiful operation.
  • Strong kitchen manager required.
  • Excellent understanding of the latest food trends in the current market.
  • Real food enthusiast.
  • Preparing fresh produce for a busy operation. .
  • Proven track record managing a busy multi operation.
  • Creating new food concept while keeping what works on the current menu.
  • Working with fresh food produce everyday.
  • Artisan background.
  • Working five over seven days.


Role Requirements:

  • Hardworking, trustworthy with a positive attitude.
  • Real food enthusiast.
  • Managing a multi site busy food house.
  • Strong people management skills required.
  • Responsible in achieving Gp’s.
  • Proven track record in a good food property.
  • Able to produce a high standard of food whilst been financially astute.
  • Working five over seven days.
  • Salary €60 – €65k depending on experience.
