Area Fresh Food Manager

The Area Fresh Food Manager will drive and support the performance of all fresh food operations in the stores and be accountable for sales, profitability, waste management, payroll and people management. You will ensure as part of the role that all food safety requirements are in accordance with Food Safety regulations at all times. 

• Manage and support all fresh food operations across all stores, working closely with the team to deliver an exceptional & consistent standard of service
• Develop the fresh food team to meet the Retail Excellence standards
• Ensure all HACCP, Health & Safety and other applicable regulations are adhered to at all times
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets working with the team on profit margins, net margins, waste and other KPIs 
• Support stores to ensure that the fresh food offerings represent best practice and the brand position
• Continuously identify and present new concepts and trends in fresh food offerings and operations
• Conduct benchmarking of local competitors against locations & offerings
• Create best practice and processes which ensure fresh food is displayed looking its best and at optimum quality levels
• Conduct reviews and make observations on locations in order to determine where and why sales targets are not been made and put procedure in place to reverse
• Work closely with the management team on fresh food layout and merchandising

Candidate:

• Previous experience from Fresh Food environment
• Retail food background
• Need to be flexible in availability as role supports a number of locations and varying trading hours
• Full clean driving licence
• Be a strong business leader with a proven record of managing people
• Excellent understanding of the fresh food industry and the trends within
• Strong understanding of HACCP and Health & Safety
