Assistant Restaurant Manager

Salary: €30-40k

Location: Laois

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Will assist in overseeing the full day to day running of the restaurant.
  • Lead from the front, showing the best example of service and quality.
  • Assist in overseeing reports sent to owner such as end of day reports, wastage etc.
  • Liaise with Restaurant Manager to ensure the restaurant is staying on course to achieve given targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation.
  • Promoting and marketing the business.
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Training and supervising staff.
  • Assessing and improving profitability.

 

Candidate:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in senior management in a restaurant in Ireland.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service and customer focus.
  • A real motivator, someone who can drive their team to be the best.
  • Excellent food, beverage and wine knowledge desired.
  • A finger on the pulse of the most up-to-date trends in both food and beverage.
  • Strong commercial knowledge in all aspects of the business.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
