Conference & Banqueting Manager – 4* Carlow
My client is looking for a Conference & Banqueting Manager for a 4* property in Carlow. This venue is known for its commitment to efficient and excellent service. This is a busy hotel looking to develop their team with an experienced Events Manager. This role requires someone who sees functions through from beginning to end and takes a hands-on approach to their work. Experience in a busy function space is essential as this is a property with frequent large volume events.
The Role Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive and creative mind-set in relation to problem-solving
- Passionate about hospitality and excellent service
- Must be available Monday-Sunday
- Flexible with hours to include a range of shifts including weekends depending on business demands
- Maintain a team orientated attitude in relation to assisting other hotel departments
- To ensure that our guests receive excellent service during banquets, weddings, conferences & events
- Devise weekly rosters for the C&B team in line with business requirements
- Engage with guests at all times to ascertain the service being provided and act upon feedback
- Devise and implement SOP’s for the department
- Train team members on SOP’s and continuously carry out training to ensure consistency of our standards
The Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced individual who has a proven track record in managing large events in a busy conference centre or hotel that caters to large weddings and conferences
- A team player who is always willing to assist with functions but also in other areas of the hotel as required
- A person who is highly motivated and is driven by a passion for providing excellent customer service
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, time management and organisational skills
