Director of Meeting & Events

As Director of Meeting & Events you will oversee all activity across conferences, meetings and corporate group enquiries to ensure budgets are achieved and that client expectations are met.
- Complete forecasts, plans and productivity reports for management
- Preparation of the annual budget for the department and set KPI’s for team members
- Arrange all details of meetings and conferences
- Plan and conduct pre-event and post event meetings with clients to determine where enhancements can be made to guest experience
- Educate and train team members to ensure that they are in compliance with company standards
- Always looking at ways to enure 5* service is delivered and guest expectation is surpassed
- Ensure that the hotel is represented at local and national trade shows to enhance brand and reputation
Ideal Candidate will have
- Previous experience from a senior role in Meeting & Events position in Ireland ideally from a 5* hotel operation
- Strong understanding of the industry and trends
- Excellent knowledge of the MICED market
- Strong Revenue background when it comes to rooms, room hire, budgets, targets etc.
- Ability to lead, train and develop a team
- Excellent written and spoken English
