Facilities Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance/Facilities Manager to join and lead the Maintenance Team in a 4* Hotel in Cork.
- To ensure that the property / premises are maintained to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices at all times within the hotel.

- Supervises and takes part in preventive and curative maintenance on both the hotel premises and equipment.
- Project Manage any and all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-efficient manner to ensure Health & Safety standards are followed
- Assist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies and best practice guidelines.
- Approves work being performed wherever required and ensures that costs are reasonable and in line with budgets.
- Controls and monitors compliance with all aspects of the maintenance role.
- Carrying out of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines as per the departmental requirements in tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Team management skills along with excellent organisational skills
- To supervise plumbers, electricians and other outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and place of work is returned to order.
- Will have previous experience from a hotel maintenance management position
- Will have electrical / plumbing qualifications
- Role is Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm with some flexibility (Will be on call for emergencies)
- Salary guide €48-52k plus bonus
