Role: Head of Sales & Business Development

Location: Wicklow

Salary: €80k-€100k + Bonus

 

Role Requirements:

  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and ensures a winning presence in the marketplace.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients, fostering long-term relationships, and identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop and execute robust sales strategies that resonate with the company’s three core offerings, targeting specifically the Irish retail market.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Regularly report performance metrics and market insights to the Managing Director.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from prospect identification to negotiation, implementation, and after-sales support.
  • Provide accurate and trustworthy reporting on sales activity.
  • Align core digital marketing activities with revenue targets and marketing goals.
  • Assess new business opportunities with a revenue focus.
  • Evaluate risks and mitigate potential issues.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager.
  • Third Level qualification in business administration, sales, or a relevant field is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Comfortable presenting to all levels of a business from C Suite down.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies.
  • Proven networking skills for generating new business opportunities.
  • Experience in the Irish Retail industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated sales track record.
  • Customer support experience is a plus.
