Hospital Poter Required Full Time

Broadline Recruiters are hiring an experienced Hospital Porter for a hospital in Dublin 4 area.

Requirements:

• Must have at least Five years’ experience working in Hospital / Nursing Home settings or come from a strong portering background
• Excellent English both written and verbal.
• Must be physically fit as the role involves demanding manual handling duties.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent team player.
• Ability to adapt to working in new Healthcare environment
• Must have a minimum two work references.
• Valid work permits to work full time in Ireland with no restrictions. 
• Must have flexible working hours

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain high level of hygiene standards due to the nature of the position
• Collect and deliver specimens around the hospital
• Lifting, positioning and walking of patients
• Escorting/transporting of patients around the hospital as required
• Assist in the removal of deceased patients to the mortuary.
• Move beds, lockers and equipment rom wards as necessary
• Collect refuse, clinical waste and other rubbish as required
• Change and remove curtains from wards
• Check and replace medical gas cylinders daily
• Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Collect and deliver bloods and blood products
• Collect and delivers emergency stores supplies to departments
• Attend training seminars

• €35,195- €42,723 per annum depending on experience
