Night Porter

Night Manager  – 4* Hotel, West Cork 

The role of a night porter in a hotel is essential for ensuring guest safety and satisfaction during nighttime hours. The night porter also plays a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for guests after hours.

The Role Requirements:

• Assisting guests with check-ins and check-outs, providing information about hotel amenities, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Monitoring the hotel premises, ensuring that only authorized individuals access certain areas, and responding to any security issues.

• Ensuring common areas are tidy, such as the lobby and hallways, and addressing any cleanliness issues that may arise overnight.

• Being prepared to handle emergencies, such as medical issues, fire alarms, or power outages, and following proper protocols.
• Conducting financial audits, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports for the next day.
• Coordinating with other hotel staff and departments to ensure smooth operations throughout the night.

The Candidates Requirements:

• Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
• Strong verbal skills for interacting with guests and staff.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor to assist guests effectively.
• Ability to address issues quickly and calmly.
• Strong attention to detail.  Ensuring safety and cleanliness of the hotel.
• Ability to work well with other staff and communicate effectively.
