A fantastic new vacancy for Pastry Chef de Partie in the Co Waterford has come available.We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced vibrant Chef with a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn and someone with a natural flair for cooking creative cuisine to join the team. This is a very exciting role for an ambitious chef, to work within a well-established business with excellent opportunities to advance and grow your career. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head and Sous Chefs with all aspects of the smooth and efficient day-to-day management of this department.
  • Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
  • Being responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mis-en-place and food storage to minimise wastage.
  • Take direction from department managers and to assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
  • Prioritise and delegate tasks to Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs and checking that they are carried out in the correct manner.
  • Always working on behalf of guests and working with other team members to exceed guest expectations.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity working in a 5* Hotel.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent Presentation & Attention To Detail
  • Strong leadership and time management skills
  • Have a Creative approach & Passion for evolving food trends.
  • Have remarkable knowledge of HAACP & Food Safety
  • Desire and appetite to upskill and advance in the culinary field.
  • Have a Creative approach & Passion for evolving food trends.
  • Be Strong in your Planning, Organisation and Communication Skills.
  • Well-groomed neat and professional in both appearance and attitude.
  • Will have a progressive attitude and enjoy being part of the team while being courteous and focused towards training, developing and motivating the kitchen brigade

Salary- €24k – €28k
