We have an exciting opportunity become available in Dublin 8!

Our client is seeking a Full time Permanent Kitchen Porter to join their team.

This role operates five out of seven days a week and requires candidates to be fully available (includes weekends).

Shift patterns vary.

Role: Kitchen Porter

Hours: Full time (35 – 40 Hours p/w)

Rate of Pay: Negotiable

Location: Dublin 8

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, cookers, walls) clean and sanitized, including deep cleaning, when required.
  • Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts.
  • Clean up spills immediately to ensure the safety of all at all times
  • Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation.
  • Process deliveries, as they come in & checking all items are delivered, as ordered and help the chefs with stock controls.
  • Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries.
  • Keep the food and supply storage areas organised.
  • Manage waste, as per HAACP standards.
  • Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed.
  • Under the direction of the Chefs, help in the delivery of a full catering service.

Health and Safety responsibilities include:

  • Follow food hygiene, and Health & Safety guidelines
  • To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself and others, who are authorised to be in the kitchen.
  • To keep work areas safe and report any hazard, loss, damage or near misses in accordance with the company procedures.
  • To participate in all Health and Safety training scheduled for you.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a kitchen porter role.
  • Must have the right to work in Ireland full time (All year round)
  • Must be fully flexible and available (Monday – Sunday)
  • Have a demonstrable understanding of health and safety rules
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to show initiative
  •  Ability to keep accurate records.
  • HAACP Level 1 qualification.

 

Please note this vacancy is not suitable for those who hold a Stamp 2 Visa or are unable to undertake full time permanent work in Ireland.
