Restaurant & Bar Manager

Our Client is looking for a passionate & vibrant restaurant manager for a Luxury hotel in Galway. This may suit an Assistant Restaurant Manager looking for first manager role.

The Role

  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure the hotel achieves targets and that the highest standards are delivered consistently to our guests.
  • Restaurant Manager will deliver excellent care to the guests
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure that the Hotel’s Vision & Mission statement is communicated to the team
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure that areas of responsibility are clean and well maintained.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure that the ambience in departments (lights, music and temperature) are controlled.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will report defective materials and equipment to the appropriate departments.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure that all new initiatives are implemented in the agreed time frame.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure that personal objectives are set and achieved on a yearly basis.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will attend meetings as required.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager ensure guest feedback is acted upon in a timely manner ensuring the relevant people are informed and that all necessary action is taken to prevent re occurrences.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will monitor all purchasing and costs in the department and to ensure that spend is in line with budgets and in line with purchasing procedures
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will ensure departmental sales are achieved in line with the hotel budget
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will accept a flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests and to maintain flexibility within teams.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will provide support where necessary in other areas of the Hotel.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager will comply with the hotels cash handling procedures and ensure that all team members are trained accordingly.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager to ensure weekly departmental payroll forecasting is completed and that all rosters are in line with budget

 

The Candidate

  • Restaurant and Bar Manager should have previous experience in 4/5* hotel
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager should be able to lead a team
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager should have great attention to detail
  • Restaurant and Bar Managers experience driving business results through revenue growth and cost savings efficiency. 
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager should have experience to assist in the recruitment and selection of restaurant staff
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager to appraise employees in accordance with the agreed appraisal procedure.
  • Restaurant and Bar Manager to ensure that all team members comply with the employee handbook
  • Salary Guide €40k
  • CPERM22
