Retail / Restaurant Baker

Location: South Dublin

Salary: Depending on Experience 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Assist the bakery team, providing guidance, training, and support when needed.
  • Develop and execute creative and innovative pastry recipes and menu items that meet the expectations of the property’s discerning clientele.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all bakery products, maintaining the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Assist in managing inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimising waste and controlling costs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised bakery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and front of house teams, to coordinate pastry offerings and support overall food and beverage operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.



  • Typical shift time 3am-10am.
  • Experience with fresh bread making and desserts is essential.
  • Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of artisan baking techniques, pastry production methods, and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Creative flair and passion for baking, with a commitment to excellence in quality and presentation.
  • Formal culinary training or certification preferred.
