Revenue Manager – 5* Hotel Dublin City Centre

Job Summary:

The Revenue Manager will be responsible for maximizing the hotel’s revenue through effective pricing, inventory management, and strategic planning. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, guest behaviour, and revenue optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in the luxury hospitality sector and be able to leverage data and analytics to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Optimization:
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize room revenue and occupancy rates.
• Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to adjust strategies accordingly.
2. Forecasting and Budgeting:
• Create accurate revenue forecasts and budgets based on historical data, market trends, and business projections.
• Review and adjust forecasts regularly to ensure alignment with actual performance.
3. Inventory Management:
• Oversee room inventory distribution across various channels (direct bookings, OTAs, GDS) to maximize revenue.
• Manage room rate structures and restrictions to balance demand and profitability.
4. Performance Analysis:
• Utilize revenue management systems and analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present regular revenue reports and performance summaries to senior management.
5. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute short-term and long-term revenue strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
• Identify and implement revenue-enhancing initiatives such as promotions, packages, and upselling opportunities.
6. Market Research:
• Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
• Adjust revenue strategies based on insights from market research and guest feedback.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Communicate revenue strategies and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.
8. System Management:
• Maintain and optimize the hotel’s revenue management system (RMS) and property management system (PMS).
• Ensure accurate and efficient data entry and reporting within these systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification in revenue management is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue management, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality setting.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in revenue management systems and tools.
• Excellent understanding of pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with RMS/PMS software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
