Service Attendant

We are hiring experienced facilities staff members for the House of Oireachtas in Dublin city centre.

Responsibilities:

• Hoovering Chambers, Galleries and Ante Rooms before session and during SOS periods
• Remove all rubbish and confidential waste bags from all floors in Historic Leinster House
• Replenish all hand sanitiser machines in all common areas
• Replenish soap dispensers in all common areas
• Clean Merrion gate hut and toilet
• Service toilets and changing facilities for restaurant and bar staff
• Replace roller towels in common area toilets and changing areas
• Hoover at entrance to self-service restaurant several times a day
• Hoover private dining rooms late afternoons/early evenings
• Stocktake of cleaning materials and evaluate stock levels, order stock through the Facilities Management Unit
• Delivery of confidential waste bags to all offices in complex on request
• On standby to clean up accidental spills especially evenings
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Essential Requirements:

Candidates must be able to demonstrate on or before 28^th February 2022 that they:

1. Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role ideally in a large organisation.
2. Have a good understanding of Health and Safety and its importance within a working environment.
3. Possess and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a co-operative environment.
4. Have fluent written and oral English.
5. Have demonstratable experience and knowledge in stock taking and stock ordering.
6. Be capable of undertaking the full range of duties of the role.
7. The ability to reach, bend, kneel, push, pull and lift heavy objects. A strong candidate will also be able to stand for up to 6 hours, climb flights of stairs and possess the stamina to perform the range of duties to the highest standard each day.
