Sous Chef – Daytime role Full Time

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy hospitality venue in Kildare. This is a daytime role, offering a fantastic work-life balance for a chef with strong catering or banqueting experience.

Salary: €42,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service.

• Plan, prepare, and execute menus for daytime services, including corporate events and banquets.

• Lead and train the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

• Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering in line with budgetary targets.

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.

• Collaborate with the management team to create seasonal menus and bespoke catering options.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally with catering or banqueting experience.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Excellent culinary skills with a passion for delivering high-quality, fresh, and innovative dishes.

• Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including cost control and stock management.

• Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
