Assistant Financial Controller – Hotel Dublin Full Time

My client is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their team. Their primary responsibilities would include payroll, financial analysis, and would be reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will need the following requirements:

The Ideal candidate would 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation in weekly and monthly account reports.
• Ensure the relevant financial reports presented are accurate.
• To oversee and be accountable for cash transit procedures.
• Assist the Financial Controller in overseeing that all legal financial policies are complied with.
• To ensure Hotel payroll is processed in a timely manner and employees are paid correctly.
• Oversee accounts payable ensuring vendor accounts are reconciled and suppliers paid in a timely manner.
• To develop the skills and competencies of the accounting staff.
• To assist the External Auditor with annual financial audit and prepare adequately for same.
• Oversee the collection and control of debtor accounts and to be the guardian of hotel credit policy, monitoring its implementation consistently.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated people management experience, overseeing both direct and indirect reports.
• Proven expertise in strategic financial planning, financial modelling, and analysis.
• Ability to think strategically and translate financial data into actionable insights.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes.
• Form a close working relationship with the Financial Controller and other senior managers.
• Provide leadership on Finance and Accounting strategy to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position.

Salary Guide €45-50k DOE
