Setting Out Engineer Full Time NEW

Our client is a leading RC frames and concrete contractor. The Setting Out Engineer is responsible for the accurate setting out of reinforced concrete frame works on site. This role ensures that all elements of the structure are constructed in the correct position and level, in line with design drawings and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out precise setting out of RC frame elements including columns, walls, slabs, cores, and foundations
• Establish and maintain site control points and benchmarks
• Use total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instruments
• Check line, level, and dimensions of works throughout construction
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings and tolerances
• Conduct regular checks and record as-built information
• Identify and report discrepancies between drawings and site conditions
• Support quality inspections and handover documentation
• Liaise with design teams, site management, and subcontractors
• Assist with resolving technical issues on site
• Ensure coordination between RC works and other trades
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and site regulations
• Maintain accurate site records, including setting out data and QA documentation
• Provide progress updates to the Senior Engineer

Key Requirements:

• Experience as a Setting Out Engineer within construction, ideally in RC frame projects
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methods
• Experience working on busy construction sites with multiple trades
• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field (preferred)
• Experience on multi-storey or complex RC structures
• Knowledge of formwork systems and reinforcement detailing
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and digital setting out tools
