Chef de Partie

My Client is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who is comfortable working under the supervision of a Head Chef and also under their own initiative. You will be part of a team in a revamped kitchen. This is a fast-paced environment and experience working in volume operations will be a benefit.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within your speciality section
- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Preparing meat and fish
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Managing and training any Commis Chefs
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Requirements and skills:
- Minimum 1 years relevant experience
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Awareness of HACCP procedures
- Experience of kitchen equipment
- Understandable level of English spoken and written
- Team management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
- Team player qualities
