Corporate Sales Manager

We are hiring a Corporate Sales Manager for a 5 star property in Dublin. The ideal candidate will be in involved with business growth through the identification and acquisition of individual corporate accounts and meeting room business linked to managed corporate accounts. Additionally, the position requires effective management of local accounts on behalf of the hotel, aligning with the objectives and strategies outlined in the annual Sales and Marketing Plan.

 Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Prospecting.
  • Manage a pre-determined number of key contracted local and global corporate accounts to include development and management of meeting room and groups business related to your managed accounts.
  • Establish, grow, and manage local accounts.
  • Solicit, confirm and negotiate transient corporate accounts to include negotiating rates and confirming contracts that ensure targeted budget achievement.
  • Proactively prospecting new accounts for the property, and follow sales process through to conversion into ‘producing’ accounts.
  • Identify, create and manage target accounts and consortia agencies that will generate business on behalf of hotel in conjunction with global sales team.
  • Utilise arrival reports, Hotelligence 360, Opera business intelligence etc, to solicit and secure business on behalf of hotel.
  • Impact corporate sales production to ensure maximum account penetration.
  • Create and execute account plans/company needs analysis for top 20 accounts and make recommendations re: pricing, yield management, room night production, sales activities, etc.
  • Create a targeted RFP hit list to communicate to GSO in advance of RFP season for multi-user account development.
  • Manage annual RFP process for each individual targeted account including account and market intelligence and pricing recommendations to maximize hotel profitability and secure travel program inclusion.
  • Uncover potential P2P leads on behalf of sister properties and the company
  • Organize and facilitate site inspections of the hotel and entertain clients as appropriate to support business efforts.
  • Organize Trips/Corporate events where required to ensure maximum sales effort
  • To have a strong knowledge of competitive set and remain up to date on key business trends.
  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date activity and rate information for each account.
  • Understand and be in a position to action any group and events inquiries when required and ensure accurate hand over and follow up to Events Team.
  • Attend any trade fairs, preset call cycle in UK relevant to your market as a representative of the property, ensuring that a professional image of the Hotel is portrayed, and that every opportunity is taken to promote the Hotel.
  • Manage allocated Delphi accounts, keeping them current and active.
  • Create strategies on market segment and identify opportunities to increase business or create new partnerships.
  • Ability to sell Hotel and destination to clients.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by hotel management.
  • Some travel may be required.

  • Ensures a clean, tidy work area that meets health and safety regulations. Respects rules of hygiene and security as well as the internal procedures.
  • Adheres to all legal rules, regulations and guidelines of the hotel. Attends all relevant internal and external operational meetings.
