Director of Wedding & Events

As Director of Wedding & Events you will oversee all activity across wedding & events conferences, to ensure budgets are achieved and that client expectations are met. 

• Complete forecasts, plans and productivity reports for management 
• Generate new leads and ideas for increased sales & revenue
• Operate & maintain a computerised system for responding, coordinating and tracking sales enquires, bookings and availability
• Preparation of the annual budget for the department and set KPI’s for team members 
• Plan and conduct pre-event and post event meetings with clients to determine where enhancements can be made to guest experience
• Maximise revenue and guest satisfaction by ensuring the accurate and effective processing of bookings through effective key account management
• Monitor & work closely with other members of the events team. Provide support, leadership & training to relevant team members
• Liaise with clients in relation to coordinating the intricate details of all events
• Prepare weekly & monthly reports outlining the business on the books for the current and following year
• Educate and train team members to ensure that they are in compliance with company standards 
• Always looking at ways to ensure 5* service is delivered and guest expectation is surpassed
• Ensure that the hotel is represented at local and national trade shows to enhance brand and reputation

Ideal Candidate will have

• Previous experience from a senior role in Weddings, Meetings & Events position in Ireland ideally from a 4/5* hotel operation
• Strong understanding of the industry and trends 
• Excellent knowledge of the hotel industry
• Proficient in all social media channels
• Ability to lead, train and develop a team 
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Very customer service orientated
