Meeting & Events Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Meeting and Events Manager to join our hotel team. The Meeting and Events Manager will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, ensuring seamless and exceptional experiences for our guests. This role requires a blend of creativity, organization, and exceptional customer service skills to deliver unforgettable events.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and social gatherings.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with various departments including catering, audiovisual, and housekeeping to ensure all event logistics are meticulously planned and executed.
  1. Sales and Client Relations:

  • Actively promote the hotel’s event spaces and services to potential clients, responding promptly to inquiries and conducting site visits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and vendors to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and in line with hotel policies.
  1. Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness while delivering high-quality experiences.
  • Monitor and analyze event performance metrics, providing regular reports to management and identifying areas for improvement.
  1. Team Leadership and Training:

  • Lead and motivate a team of event staff, providing clear direction and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team members’ skills in event planning, customer service, and problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Certification in event planning is a plus.
