Quality Manager Full Time NEW

Our client is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team on a prestigious site in the heart of Co. Clare. The person will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities meet quality standards while safeguarding the historical, architectural, and cultural integrity of an historical building.

Role & Responsibilities 

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP) in line with project specifications and conservation requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001 and heritage conservation guidelines.
• Coordinate inspections and testing of materials and workmanship, ensuring minimal impact on historic fabric.
• Work closely with conservation specialists, architects, and site teams to ensure appropriate restoration techniques are used.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance for adherence to quality and heritage protection standards.
• Manage documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
• Liaise with local authorities, heritage bodies, and stakeholders regarding compliance and approvals.
• Conduct internal audits and site quality reviews.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of traditional and modern materials compatible with heritage structures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction quality management.
• Proven experience working on heritage or conservation projects (highly desirable).
• Strong knowledge of restoration techniques and conservation principles.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
