General Restaurant Manager

Salary: €65-75k

Location: Dublin West

Our Client is looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Restaurant Manager based in Dublin West

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Create a professional, innovative and inclusive department working closely with the team to provide a seamless experience.
  • Knowledge of menu composition and engineering.
  • Ability to convert the knowledge of wines and alcoholic beverages into product sales and service.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage marketing/promotional techniques.
  • Knowledge of pricing rationale and strategies.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to effectively manage labor costs & forecast revenues.
  • Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to evaluate business trends, determine applicability to customer profile and modify business strategies accordingly.
  • Will oversee the full day to day running of a busy restaurant.
  • Lead from the front, showing the best example of service and quality.
  • Oversee all reports sent to senior management such as end of day reports, wastage etc.
  • Liaise with senior management to ensure the restaurant is staying on course to achieve given targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation.
  • Promoting and marketing the business.
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Training and supervising staff.
  • Assessing and improving profitability.

 

Candidate:

  • A minimum of 3 years in senior management in a restaurant in Ireland.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service and customer focus.
  • A real motivator, someone who can drive their team to be the best.
  • Excellent food, beverage and wine knowledge desired.
  • A finger on the pulse of the most up-to-date trends in both food and beverage.
  • Strong commercial knowledge in all aspects of the business.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
