Position: Hotel Manager (5-Star)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to oversee the operations of a prestigious 5-star hotel. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with exceptional management skills, a passion for hospitality, and a keen eye for detail. As the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction, managing staff, maintaining financial performance, and upholding the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure the highest standard of service is provided to guests at all times.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
  • Resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, banqueting, maintenance, and security.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and provide excellent service.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet operational needs while controlling labour costs.

Financial Performance:

  • Develop and manage the hotel budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and profit optimization.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics and take corrective action as needed to achieve targets.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings initiatives.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies to attract and retain guests.
  • Participate in sales efforts, including hosting site visits, negotiating contracts, and cultivating relationships with key clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards to uphold the hotel’s reputation for excellence.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities for inspections, permits, and licenses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role at a 5-star hotel.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving financial targets and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Certification in hospitality management or relevant field is a plus.
