Duties & Responsibilities:

• Direct food preparation and collaborates with head chef.
• Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste.
• Oversee and supervise kitchen staff.
• Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
• Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition.
• Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
• Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
• Prepares food safely.
• Assist head chef with scheduling staff shifts.
• Trains new employees.
• Assist head chef with ordering of food supplies.
• Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.

 Candidate:

• Level 1 and 2 food safety certificate.
• Level 2 health and safety in the workplace certificate.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Awareness of manual handling techniques.
• Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety.
• Experience of kitchen equipment.
• Experience of dangerous equipment such as knives.
• Competent level of English spoken and written.
• Creative, calm under pressure and leadership skills.
• Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.

Salary Guide: €40-45K
