Linehaul Manager – Laois Full Time

Role: Linehaul Manager – Portarlington, Laois

Location: Portarlington, Co. Laois

Salary: €42k – €52k DOE

We are currently looking for an experienced Linehaul manager to join a busy and dynamic team based in Portarlington, Co. Laois. This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Role requirements:

• Organizing freight with correct consolidation for the despatch nightly on Linehaul vehicles
• Communicate effectively with a company’s personnel and external stakeholders to ensure task completion
• Giving direction and monitor performance that assist the Transport Manager in ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively
• Keeping information regarding the various routes of transportation and ability to provide suggestions to take up the best and the most effective path for transportation
• Overseeing daily transportation operations, including scheduling and routing.
• Make sure Linehaul reports are updated daily
• Make sure Forklift breakdown log updated daily for any breakages and reported to service provider and Transport Manager.
• Ensure handover sent daily to AM shift and transport Manager
• Ensuring the Linehaul meets their KPI’s, and no Overloads left behind
• Liaising with the PM / AM Shift Supervisors within the depot to document and work through any issues to find a resolution.

Candidate Requirements:

• Have an excellent level of spoken and written English
• Min 5 years previous experience working in a Transport/Logistics environment
• A professional qualification in transport / supply chain/logistics is desirable. Understanding of RSA regulations.
• Proficient on Microsoft office and relevant transport / fleet management systems Previous Managerial experience (3 years +)
• Excellent timekeeper
• Good geographical knowledge of Ireland is a must
• Problem Solver and People Management experience.
