Restaurant Manager Full Time NEW

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading contract caterer for an experienced Restaurant Manager to take charge of a high-volume catering operation within a busy university campus in Limerick. This is a hands-on leadership role offering a strong work environment, and excellent scope for career progression within a well-established contract catering business.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the restaurant and hospitality services on site. You will lead and develop your team, ensure high standards across all service areas, and drive operational and financial performance.

This role also involves coordinating external catering and events, managing client relationships, and ensuring full compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop front-of-house and catering teams
• Oversee daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure exceptional food quality and customer service standards
• Manage labour costs, payroll, and costed rosters in line with budgets
• Work closely with senior management to achieve financial targets
• Maintain accurate financial, stock, and administrative controls
• Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and company procedures
• Oversee cleaning schedules and overall site presentation
• Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships
• Coordinate and deliver on-site and external catering events
• Drive sales, promotions, and continuous business improvement
• Handle customer feedback, staff issues, and day-to-day problem solving

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Restaurant Manager or similar role
• Experience in high-volume or contract catering environments (preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Good financial and commercial awareness
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Solid understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations
• A hands-on and proactive approach
