Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in the daily operation of the hotel restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, staff supervision, and operational efficiency in line with hotel policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will supervise and motivate front-of-house staff during service.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure consistently high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist with staff training, onboarding, and development.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will oversee service flow to ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and floor.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will handle guest queries, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist with staff rotas and labour management where required.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and licensing regulations.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will maintain cleanliness, presentation, and setup standards in the restaurant.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist in monitoring sales, upselling, and service performance targets.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure accurate cash handling and POS system usage.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support restaurant setup for events, functions, and special occasions.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will monitor staff performance and provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback.
· The Assistant Restaurant Manager will contribute to a positive, professional, and guest-focused environment.
Essential Requirements
· Previous experience as a supervisor or Assistant Manager in a restaurant or hotel environment.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Good leadership and team coordination abilities.
· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
· Understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
· Knowledge of HACCP and hospitality compliance in Ireland.
