Head Chef – Hotel Dublin South
My client is looking for an experienced Head Chef. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality leading a team and be passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the kitchen in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities:
- Directs food preparation and collaborates with the Executive Head Chef.
- Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste.
- Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.
- Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
- Ensures that food is top quality, and that kitchen is in good condition.
- Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards.
- Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.
- Prepares food safely.
- Trains new employees.
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
- Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.
Candidate Requirements:
- Have previous experience in a busy hotel environment.
- Knowledge of fresh and local produce.
- Background in catering for functions and Banqueting as well as restaurant and bar food.
- Have the ability to multitask and calm under pressure.
- Highly motivated individual as there is progression within this role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Knowledge of HACCP.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role.
