Field Sales Representative

Our client in the Plant & Tool Hire Industry is seeking a motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to develop and grow our customer base across the Dublin region. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business while managing and expanding relationships with existing customers within the construction industry.

This is a field-based role requiring regular customer visits, site meetings, and close collaboration with our depot and operations teams to deliver exceptional service and maximise equipment utilisation.

Key Responsibilities

• The Field Sales Representative will identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across the Dublin area.
• Build long-term relationships with contractors, builders, civil engineering companies, local authorities, and industrial clients.
• Promote the company’s full range of plant, access equipment, and tool hire services.
• Conduct regular customer visits and site inspections to identify hire opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate hire rates and commercial agreements.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service throughout the hire process.
• Liaise with depot, transport, and service teams to ensure timely equipment delivery and collection.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using the company’s CRM system.

Essential Requirements

• The Field Sales Representative will have a minimum of two years of field sales experience.
• Previous experience within plant hire, tool hire, construction equipment, building materials, or a related industry is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and contractor environment.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and winning new business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.

Salary €50k+ DOE

Hours 9am – 5pm
