Job Description

The Senior Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, supporting the management of bar operations, supervising bar staff, and ensuring high standards of customer service, hygiene, and beverage quality within the hotel bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

· The Senior Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to hotel standards.

· The Senior Bartender will deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times.

· The Senior Bartender will supervise and support bartenders and bar staff during service.

· The Senior Bartender will assist with the day-to-day operation of the hotel bar.

· The Senior Bartender will ensure consistent drink quality, presentation, and portion control.

· The Senior Bartender will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the bar area.

· The Senior Bartender will ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices.

· The Senior Bartender will monitor stock levels and assist with beverage ordering and stock control.

· The Senior Bartender will help minimise wastage and maintain accurate stock records.

· The Senior Bartender will train and mentor new bar staff on service standards and procedures.

· The Senior Bartender will handle guest queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

· The Senior Bartender will assist with cocktail preparation, promotions, and beverage menu development.

· The Senior Bartender will support bar service for events, weddings, conferences, and functions.

· The Senior Bartender will operate tills and process payments accurately in line with hotel procedures.

· The Senior Bartender will contribute to a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment.

Essential Requirements

· Previous experience as a Bartender or Senior Bartender in a hotel, bar, or hospitality environment.

· Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and bar operations.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong organisational and teamwork abilities.

· Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and licensing regulations in Ireland.
