Assistant Maintenance Manager Full Time NEW

Position: Assistant Maintenance Manager 
Location: Clare 
Contract: Full-time, Permanent 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations across the property. Ensure all buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards. 

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. 

• Carry out regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house areas, and resort facilities to identify maintenance needs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff to minimise disruption to resort operations. 

• Support preventative maintenance programmes to ensure the smooth running of all systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. 

• Assist in managing contractors and external service providers when required. Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, fire safety standards, and resort policies. 

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation. Assist in monitoring inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Previous experience in a similar role such as Assistant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Senior Maintenance Technician, ideally within a hotel or resort environment. 

• Strong technical knowledge of general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to supervise, motivate, and support a maintenance team. 

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues. 

• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to urgent situations. 

• Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple departments. 
• Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
