Job Description
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of food and beverage outlets within the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, compliance with company standards, and effective team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will supervise the day-to-day operation of restaurant, bar, banqueting, and/or other food and beverage outlets.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will lead, motivate, and support team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will ensure all service standards and operating procedures are consistently followed.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback, and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and labour cost control.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily operational requirements to the team.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will train, coach, and develop employees to enhance performance and service quality.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will monitor stock levels, oversee inventory controls, and assist with ordering requirements.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will support the achievement of departmental sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will ensure accurate cash handling, billing procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliations.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will coordinate with kitchen and other hotel departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will maintain outlet presentation standards, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist in implementing promotions, special events, and upselling initiatives.
· The Food & Beverage Supervisor will prepare operational reports and communicate performance issues or opportunities to management.
Qualifications & Experience
· Previous experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or senior team member role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety requirements.
· Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
