General Operative – Restorations

Our client is currently seeking General Operatives to join their team working on building restoration and remediation projects across Dublin. The successful candidates will work on properties affected by water damage, fire and smoke damage, flooding, mould and general building damage, assisting with the safe removal, cleaning, preparation and reinstatement of affected areas. This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with a practical background who are comfortable working in different environments and are looking to develop their experience within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• The General Operative will assist with restoration and remediation works on damaged properties.
• Carry out strip-out and removal of damaged materials.
• Assist with the removal of flooring, plasterboard, insulation, fixtures and fittings.
• Assist with water damage clean-up and drying operations.
• Assist with fire and smoke damage cleaning and restoration.
• Carry out general cleaning, preparation and labouring duties.
• Assist skilled tradespeople and restoration technicians.
• Load, unload and move tools, equipment and materials.
• Carry out basic maintenance and repair duties where suitably experienced.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Comply with all health and safety procedures and site requirements.
• Use PPE and equipment correctly at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• The General Operative will have previous experience in a general operative, labouring, construction, maintenance, demolition, restoration or similar role.
• Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety.
• Safe Pass and manual Handling certificates.

Salary €30k – €40k
