Food and Beverage Manager for a 4* hotel in Dublin
My client is looking for a strategic business leader for the hotel’s food and beverage/culinary operation, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and driven manager to manage all of the Food & Beverage outlets across the hotel.
Duties & Responsible
- Food and Beverage Manager will develop and maintain food and beverage/culinary goals
- Food and Beverage Manager will set expectations and hold the food and beverage team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviours
- Food and Beverage Manager will develop, build and mentor a confident team in all F&B areas that engages with and exceeds guest expectations.
- Food and Beverage Manager will review staffing levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met whilst ensuring financial astuteness.
- Food and Beverage Manager will ensure compliance to food and beverage handling standards
- Food and Beverage Manager will monitor purchasing costs within the F&B department, adhering to budget, minimising waste, stock control and stock taking etc.
- Food and Beverage Manager will work with food and beverage leadership team to determine areas of concern and develops strategies to improve the department’s financial performance.
- Food and Beverage Manager will establish challenging, realistic and obtainable goals to guide operation and performance.
- Food and Beverage Manager will develop and manage all Food and Beverage budgets.
- Food and Beverage Manager will monitor the department’s actual and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Food and Beverage Manager will focus on maintaining profit margins without compromising guest or employee satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a food and beverage or in a senior food and beverage management role in a high-volume food environment in 4 star hotels in Ireland.
- Food and Beverage Manager must have a background in training and leading a team to the highest of standards and managing high volume food and beverage operations.
- Food and Beverage Manager should have Hospitality Management qualification – or similar experience
- Food and Beverage Manager should have thorough knowledge of the food/beverage industry in Ireland and market changes or forces that may influence business performance
- Food and Beverage Manager will have excellent people management skills
- Food and Beverage Manager will have an understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
- Food and Beverage Manager will have a very high level of commercial awareness.
- Food and Beverage Manager will have leadership skills.
- Food and Beverage Manager will have excellent communication & organisation skills.
