Food and Beverage Manager
Location – Galway
Salary – €45,000 + Accommodation
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To manage the smooth and efficient running of the Food & Beverage Department in a luxury hotel operation, ensuring standards and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times thus ensuring revenue is maximized.
- Extensive knowledge of overseeing fine dining restaurants and managing multiple outlets in luxury hotels.
- Create a professional, innovative and inclusive department working closely with the team to provide a seamless experience.
- Knowledge of menu composition and engineering.
- Ability to convert the knowledge of wines and alcoholic beverages into product sales and service.
- Knowledge of food & beverage marketing/promotional techniques.
- Knowledge of pricing rationale and strategies.
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of hotel operations as they affect department.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to effectively manage labor costs & forecast revenues.
- Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Ability to evaluate business trends, determine applicability to customer profile and modify business strategies accordingly.
Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant F&B Manager or F&B Manager from a luxury property with Irish and or International experience.
- Passionate about food, wine and people.
- Experience in delivering premium service to guests.
- Strong problem-solving skills; encourages new innovative solutions when appropriate.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
- Effective influence skills.
- Strong consensus building skills.
